Texas acid psych group Liquid Sound Company on Rockadrome label!

Liquid Sound CompanyThe Rockadrome label has reached an agreement with Texas acid psych group Liquid Sound Company to release their new album “Acid Music for Acid People” worldwide on compact disc!  The Liquid Sound Company is a gathering of like minded musicians exploring the realms of consciousness expanding music in all forms. Band visionary John Perez of well known and respected doom metallers Solitude Aeturnus once again assembles the Texas troops for a journey into cosmic realms, bringing back as much arcane knowledge of the outer realms of musical expansion. The vinyl version is being released by Nasoni records of Germany. There are also plans for Rockadrome to reissue the Liquid Sound Company back catalog later in the year. Sit back, fire up the lava lamps, pop those tabs and get ready to transport!

Liquid Sound Company – Acid Music for Acid People CD (ROCK035-2)

Liquid Sound Company – Acid Music for Acid People CD. Compact disc version of the third album from Texas acid heads led by guitarist and doom guru John Perez (Solitude Aeturnus). Acid Music for Acid People is a culmination of newer studio recordings coupled with very rare live and demo recordings. Totally disregarding any trends in psychedelic or other forms of music, the band stretches out and produces a soothing and at times intense, mind altering stew fit for cosmic travels and massive mind meandering. Approaching these recordings with a direct line to higher key realms, Acid Music finds our favorite long-running unknown Texas band keeping it simple with little or no overdubs, wrenching out a pure and raw connection to the psychedelic properties of the music. Sit back, fire up the lava lamps, pop those tabs and get ready to transport!

The vinyl version is being released by Nasoni Records of Germany. Watch for compact disc reissues of their earlier albums later in the year.

Mary Butterworth – Mary Butterworth LP (ROCK/LION036-V-1)

Mary Butterworth Lp

Mary Butterworth LP. Travel back in time to 1969 with our official reissue of one of the most highly sought after west coast psychedelic rock records ever recorded. A heady trip, filled with grooving reverb-soaked jams! Prized original pressings command more than $1000!!

In the tumultuous Spring of 1968, the Mary Butterworth band was formed. Contrary to rumors, the group originated from Southern California and enjoyed being thrust onto the incredible scene that was developing during this remarkable time for music. After a year or so of performing throughout the region in places like the Marina Palace in Seal Beach and others, they decided to record and release a debut album on their own label. In 1969, on a shoestring budget, their album was recorded, manufactured and released. However, the limited pressing was pre-sold to fans and friends only, and never even made it into stores. It disappeared as quickly as it arrived, as did Mary Butterworth, who disbanded not long after the album’s release, never to perform together again.
